No, twas a DVD - heres the odd thing - the service screen showed 0000 hrs on the dvd - the guy must never had used it! Obviously I would be checking to see if it worked before i parted with the readies. The screen did seem a little dark when compared woth the plasmas etc in the shop but the shop manager said this was normal.

Well I also popped into my local B& O dealership in the hope of finding an employee who had been there long enough to remember the old CRT models. Would you beleive it the had a 32" RF avant in the shop - someone had traded it in! well it seems ok to me tube

Medogsfat: I agree - look for an avant with RF tube. They are selling ridiculously cheap at the minute - I missed out on a 32" RF DVD a couple of days ago which sold on ebay for £500 on a buy it now, I was gutted by being beaten by the press of a button. You won't find a better CRT TV anywhere, don't be tempted by a curved screen

BMGHB: Hi Sly..., WELCOME! If i should choose an used CRT tv i would go for a BeoVision Avant 28/32 DVD(built in DVD=only one remote). The picture is superb and the sound even better. Only minus is the sheer size of the television. If smaller is wanted i would go for a BeoVision 1 or a BeoVision MX8000 depending on you want 25" or 28". The
