  • Re: Thud noise

It seems like a platter adjustment, how would be a way to change the height?

  • Thud noise

I notice on my TX 2 that when the arm is moving across the record it makes a thud sound that I pick up in my speakers. While music is playing its to quiet, but you notice it the most when it is in between songs. I would say the sound occurs every sec or so. What could be the cause of that sound?

  • Re: TX 2 but with problems

Actually heres what I did. I took the motor off, on the bottom of it there was this rubber dot, i scratched that off, and then it was plastic. I got a super small drill bit and went like 1/4 of an inch inside the motor. Got some household oil and put some drops in there and now 90% of the ticking sound it gone!

  • TX 2 but with problems

I recently found a TX 2 in my dads garage and when I tried it out the motor was making a ticking sound, sure it works, but is there any way to replace this motor? Or oil it up a tad?
