Done that, and it does seem to be better balanced but still the same problem. I'm not convinced the stereo I have will support it, there is a sub woofer pre out plug in the back so would that mean I'd need one to use the turntable with it? But regardless of that it still won't play the record, just keeps skipping back to the beginning. It's

Well the needle can move slightly, so it can be pushed side to side or up and down. Is that normal? its an mmc 3

I have set it up using the instructions someone posted on here (setting the arm to play then unplugging etc) but with my lack of experience it could be wrong. I thought that it might be that it doesn't have enough pressure but i've played about with the counter weight and nothing seems to work. Does the needle become noticably blunt? I was wondering
