  • Re: DVB-C on BeoVision 7-40 with DVB-HD module

That's very good news! I already have a CA-module (mascom AlphaCrypt) and card combination that I know works with my provider (Ziggo in the Netherlands); I've been using this with a Mac mini - Elgato 610 combination for several years now. So I think I'll visit my B&O dealer this weekend ;-)

  • DVB-C on BeoVision 7-40 with DVB-HD module

I've noticed that the latest BeoVision 7-40 user-manual, which can be downloaded from the Bang & Olufsen website, now also refers to hooking up a DVB-C signal. Does this mean that when I add the DVB-HD module to my existing BV 7-40 it will become possible to use the built-in DVB tuner with a DVB-C signal? Kjeld.

  • Re: Apple TV - What PUC Software Version does Fast Scrolling

Symmes: I know other people weren't able to get the BV7 - AppleTV combination to work (PUC Software wise). Looks like there's some different versions of PUC software out there that works and doesn't work. As for your wireless question; yes, ofcourse the AppleTV can connect wireless. Standard out-of-the-box. With the BV7 I can put it under

Yes, Beo4 behaves the same as the Apple Remote. The only difference is the mapping. You don't use the MENU button on the Beo4, but the EXIT when you want to go back a menu. 2 things could be improved: - the BV7 doesn't shut down the AppleTV although I have set up the BV7 to do so. - fast forwarding Music skips the running song, then fast forwards

  • Re: Apple TV - What PUC Software Version does Fast Scrolling

I'm one of the lucky few that had success. Indeed it's with a BV7 MK3. Here's the stuff I get from the Customer Service Menu under SW VER. Looks like the STB PUC version is called 05.02b. And the entry is called "iPod Remote". H8 SW: 03.50a H8 BOOTLOADER: 01.10a IOP SW: 23.00a M2 SW: 03.10a STAT DISP SW: 02.00a M2 STB TABLE: 05

  • Re: Beo 4 and apple remote

Munin: I assume the STB TABLE version number is the version of the STB list. So looks like yours is newer than mine (assuming your higher number means newer). That doesn't tell us anything about the iPod Dock/iPod Remote STB entry though. Second difference is the location where the iPod Dock/iPod Remote entries are selectable. With my BV7 it's

  • Re: Beo 4 and apple remote

Munin: Also in my case the "Apple appleremote" does not work; the fact that, like you say, the LED on the Apple TV does not blink while pressing any of the keys on the Beo4 is backed up by my test of having the Lintronic device decode the Infrared code in CodeLearn mode; it too doesn't think that the IR code is an apple remote in this

  • Re: Beo 4 and apple remote

Sebastien: Yes, I'm now able to control the appleTV using the Beo4 directly. I'm NOT using the Lintronic box. And YES, fast scroll works.

  • Re: Beo 4 and apple remote

B&O has figured it out; I currently can control my appleTV using just my Beo4 and BV7. And the "fast scroll", or "progressively faster" scroll as you call it works too.

  • Re: Beo 4 and apple remote

My dealer came by today in upgrade the STB list of my BV7-40mkIII; unfortunately he was unable to get the appletv to work, but when he had left I did some testing myself. Luckily I have a Lintronic device, so with codelearn I looked at the codes that were transmitted. So, eventually setup that works for me: SW version menu says: 05.02b for STB TABLE
