    Thank you all very much. It's probably the mains relay as you suggest so I'll pop te speaker into a local dealer. Cheers David

    Thank you Neil, Are you a qualified engineer because it's been suggested that it might be the amplifier inside the speaker. What do you think? Thanks for your interest. By the way I'm in St Ives in Cornwall. Cheers David

    Dear GK31AX, Checked again - no luck I'm afraid. I moved the switch to all positions whilst playing a CD and the same static click every half-second or so. Thanks for you help anyway. Hosky

    Thanks - I've just checked - one was switched left the other switch was in the centre position (if there is a such a thing). I'm just going to connect them up again and try. I'll let you know. Thank you again.

  • Beolab 8000 speaker fault?

    I have just re-connected a pair of Beolab 8000 speakers to my Beosound Ouverture and one speaker is not working. I have checked the cables by swapping them around and the cables seem in good order as do the outlet sockets on the stereo. One of the 8000's operates normally the other just seems to gives a static click every second or so. Both speakers
