Thanks very much - I will try your Ebay and B&O suggestions and report back in due time John

Have now had a look from underneath. The belt is in position but has clearly lost its stretch and will need to be replaced. You mention 'Martin' - how do I get in touch with him? (as you may have gathered I am a relative new boy to Internet use!). Again, many thanks for your (almost instant!) response. John

Many thanks for your reply. Essentially the turntable fails to spin although I can hear a whirring noise from within! Might it be a failed turntable drive belt? If so is it still possible to source a replacement and how does one gain access? But also there is no reaction to any of the controls! Needless to say I will be most grateful for any help/advice

Can anyone help? I have just inherited the above unit and had hoped to substitute it for my much loved Beogram turntable of approx the same vintage but which has long been U/S. I was assured this replacement unit was in full working order but no susk luck! Now unlike 'my' (later) version this unit has space underneath which it appears is intended
