Thanks for your help - I'd looked at the size of the Avant stand and it would be too large under a BV3 so I assumed they are not compatible.

My 1995 Avant screen 'popped' last week and I've replaced it with a 2006 BV3 which, I notice, has a motorised stand connection socket on the rear.
