Hi again! Thanks everyone for your replies! I agree the condition is what's most important but since the 8000's have been around since 1992 I just want to be sure that the manufacturing year is around 2001 that the seller states.

Hi guys! Today I went to look at a used pair of beolab 8000 that the seller said to be from 2001. However, I want to be sure of the manufacturing year and I know you can tell how old o product is just by looking at the serial number. The problem is that although I looked around on the speakers I couldn't find the serial number. So my question is

Dear sir, You should know that the Beovision 8 is ha HD-ready LCD tv. The picture of these television sets are very dependent on what kind of source you play on the television. LCD-tvs in general don't perform well with analogue tv signals. They perform OK with SD(standard definition) material from DVDs or digital-television. What you should do
