I bought my 32" flatscreen Beovision Avant DVD in 2004. This morning, I turned it on to watch TV. After about 30 seconds, there was a loud "pop" sound coming from the TV. Then image and sound were gone. There were neither smell nor smoke. Now when I turn on the TV, the display on the right top of the Avant reads "TV 1", but

Thanks Martin. A B&O technician here in Hong Kong told me the cover is attached to the solid base by double-side adhesive tape (in my opinion, there should be a better, more elegant way for the attachment). I successfully detached the cover (I used a screw driver, but changed to a long knife, which worked better). The cover didn't get bended

Thank you for the info and I am so glad to hear that a new cover is available. However, I examined the unit, but I don't see how I can take out the old cover (it appears that the shaft and the base are one piece). Please advise. Rudy

When I was disassembling my Beosound 1 floor stand, I accidentally dropped the heavy black support platform on the surface of the base, making a "cut" on the beautiful surface. It doesn't seem that the surface part is replaceable. Does anyone know how to fix this "cut"? Would filing with sand paper help? Sincerely, Rudy
