  • Re: Beovision 7 - 40 MK 2 and new Amstrad Sky+ HD box

Thanks for the clarification Malcolm. Mine is also set to Thompson still. I am not sure how you change this setting on a MK II anyway! John

  • Re: Beovision 7 - 40 MK 2 and new Amstrad Sky+ HD box

Again guys thanks for the comments. Sky have offered to try and track me down an old Thompson box if nothing else works. Still hoping someone out there knows of a solution to this which means I can keep the new box and get some HD (though poor 720 HD) out of my 7 - 40. John

  • Re: Beovision 7 - 40 MK 2 and new Amstrad Sky+ HD box

Thank you for the quick response. My previous box was a Thompson that worked fine. Sky guy said everything now would be Amstrad. Had a suggestion from a B&O dealership that the Sky Box frequency had to be set at 50 rather than 60. Two problems with this. First you cannot change the frequency on the new sky Boxes - the option has gone in the menu

  • Beovision 7 - 40 MK 2 and new Amstrad Sky+ HD box

Have just had my faulty old sky+HD box replaced with a new Amstrad one. Problem is there is now no picture (or pulsing picture) on the TV when I use the HDMI to DVI converter. Picture is fine through scart connection - but no HD quality. Both my B&O dealer and the the Sky technician say it is a "known" problem with MK 1's and 2'and

  • BeoComm 6000 pcb

My MK1 6000 has finally gone into permanent "no signal" and will no longer connect to my BeoCom 2 base unit. I fear the solution is a new pcb but am concerned with two things :- Can anyone supply a pcb? My dealer says it will cost £75+ for him to do it and it seems an easy task to do myself. Will there be any problems with my system

  • Re: Mac Mini and BeoPort

Thanks Phil. All fine now - used my iPod dock as suggested. Realise now that my question was pretty stupid!! Like all semi nerds I spent so much time looking at the options at the back of the box I never looked at the front where the headphone jack was cunningly concealed by the famous B & O black on black colour scheme. Thnaks again John

  • Mac Mini and BeoPort

I have a Mac Mini connected to a BeoPort box to push my iTunes around the house. I control it through remote on my iPhone - all normal so far!! I want to use the speaker connections on the back of the BeoPort box but do not want to invest in more B&O speakers for something that will be used only infrequently. Any suggestions on how to attach a cheap

  • BeoCom 6000 No Signal Problem

Keep getting No Signal on my BeoCom 6000. Have done the usual stuff - deregistered, re-registered, put closer to the signal etc. etc. etc. BeoCom 2 and other BeoCom 6000 on the system all work well. Any ideas out there? The flashing red light is driving me mad!! John
