  • Re: stb controller, how do i know i got one?

Hi there... I think the easiest way is to look at the back of the set for a mini jack socket - this is where the IR cable is plugged in. I'm pretty sure the avant had stb control as standard, you may however (depending on the age of the set) require a software upgrade to control the most recently introduced set top boxes. If you press Menu - set

  • Re: BS5 questions

Thanks for that... very disapointing. I have always enjoyed a genuine random playlist jumping from one genre to another. This function is dreadful in bs2 and bs3200 (randon in one colour group only). I cant understand that for a company that makes no compromise with materials/build quality asks their customers to constantly compromise with functionality

  • BS5 questions

Hi there... I was wondering if anyone knew if the MOTS can be switched off on the bs5? Also, can an external hard drive be plugged in to increase the storage or is 500gb your lot? I dont feel the bs5 has enough wow for me to change from my bs9000 - it just doesn't have the drama, presence or theatre of the 9000. Many thanks....

  • Re: about bs 9000...

Hello... You may be referring to the large red power on/off button on older models of the bs9000. I don't believe the cd selector buttons have ever changed. Regards.

  • Re: What's your take on Beomedia 1 and Beosound 5

Hi there.... This may have been asked (and answered) before.... Is is possible to connect an external hard drive to the bs5 system to increase the storage capacity? I was also wondering if the MOTS can be switched off? I personally like playing a random selection of music not centered around a perticular genre. Regards.....
