Great, I've just ordered one

Hi, I hope someone can help, and that this wouldn't cost too much :) I have a Beocom 6000 (battery compartment says 99W39, and it was bought around 1999). I haven't used it for a very long time, and it appears to not want to take a charge. If I place it on the base with no battery in, it lights up, the screen says it's searching for a base
