How do I check the options and make the changes?

I have a new Beovision 8 and on the menu screen it has a timer option. When I select timer it gives me the option of on/off. Then nothing else happens. Anyone know what this is and what it does?

Need some help.I have a BeoCenter 2 (brand new) and everything is fine BUT for the noise it gets from the Plasma TV I have next to it. As a result I can not control the BC 2 with the remote when the TV is on. I went and bought a IR Eye from the B&O store. I have pluged it into the CRTL on the BC 2 socket but nothing happens.
