Here's one for the real techies... Does anyone know what the ultrasonic frequencies are for the remote used on the BeoMaster 2400? I want to experiment with constructing my own remote (given that an original remote is expensive and hard to find!). Any help would be appreciated. Jim

Thanks Puncher. I think Brasso is a similar composition with a mild thinner added. It feels gritty to the touch and seems to work like rouge. My experience is with rouge in a paste-form that needs to be applied, rubbed in and then buffed out with a clean buffing wheel (on a moto-tool). Thanks Martin! Very good advice about the dead channel. I have the schematics, but it is very helpful to know where to look! The right channel is the one that's dead no matter what input source is selected. The left channel is OK for all sources, by the way. I will contact you to find out about the turntable. Does anyone have a spare aluminum turntable platten for the BeoCenter 2200? I enjoy restoring older B&O systems and, in my collection, have a BeoMaster 2400, BeoMaster 1900, BeoCenter 4600, BeoCenter 9000, BeoGram 8000 and now the BeoCenter 2200.
