Sebastien, I'm not sure about BC6-23, but on my BV6-26 I need to select PC input on the Beo4 (using List) to select the DVI input. Not sure you can tie it to AV1 or AV2.

Hi Peter, Believe me, you are not missing much. I was given a Serene a couple of years ago for a significant birthday. It was bought from a B&O dealer in London, and there was no software with it. According to the manual I had to go to the Samsung (!) website to download the software to allow it to sync with MS-Outlook on a PC - but for calendar

This seems odd to me. The Beolab 3500 is compatible with both MCL2 and ML, isn't it? or is it a matter of having the right software version?

You can definitely configure the Airport Express from a PC. The AE comes with management software for Windows as well as OSX.

The only passive speakers you can connect to these units are headphones, I'm afraid. For loudspeakers you either need active speakers (e.g. Beolab 4000/6000/8000/3 etc.) or passive speakers fed via an MCL 2P power amp.

frankmj: lawrencejmcook: If you watch alot of DVD, then I suggest you get a widescreen TV, i.e. an Avant. I think that the Beocentre 1s were all 25-inch 4:3. Certainly all the MXs were 4:3. The Beovision MX4200 is able to show 16:9. /Frank The screen ratio of the MX 4200 is still 4:3. Yes, you can watch a 16:9 picture on it, but in letter box mode

I don't know for sure about the Avant, but I have no problem coonecting my Macbook Pro to my Beovision 5 (through an Apple DVI/S-Video convertor).

You could use a Beolab 200 (150W monoblock amplifier). Complete with Powerlink input. I have a pair that I use to drive my "proper" hi-fi speakers when I hitch them up to my BC9500. Lawrence

Saw this on Bloomberg: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601085&sid=aROaeyaKLVzY&refer=europe This might be a good time to buy, if you're in the market for new B&O - perhaps there'll be some special offers (beyond zero per cent finance!). Lawrence

Doesn't the Beomaster 5500 have a pair of pre-amp out phono jacks? I think these can be connected directly to the phono input jacks on the BL8000s. The switch on the BL8000s then needs to be set to LINE.
