Thanks Peter,Are you saying your en is better than a soundsmith cl new! they are quite exspensive.Did you paint the black cl from soundsmith?I agree with you previous threads.Why do they make them in black,spoils the decks appearance. peter

Hi all Beo gram 4000 fans,I have after about 30hrs on and off finally restored my badly broken 4000 ( In transit) and it has been very worth while.It truely is fine example of engineering without compromise.I had to replace the tone arm and counterbalance,therefore many adj were reqd. many thanks to your website and members.I am playing with a mmc20en

Hi,I've been repairing a 4000 which had broken arm mount in transit.I have aquired a broken deck for spares and replaced the tone arm I have completed a total mechanical service and lub according to the service manual.All mech functions are now working and i think there is light at the end of the tunnel.However,I was wondering how important the

Hi Peter,thanks for reply.Think we talked on site before.I bought a 4000 from e-bay which was sold in good working condition(Which I think was the case)However the cartridge mount was broken in transit.I live in Belfast and received no interest from my local B&O dealer.In fact I don't think its easy to aquire any 4000 parts anywhere in Ireland

Hi Henrik, I am in the process of repairing a BG4000 with the help of another broken deck.So I'll try and answer your questions. 1) The trimmer or pottentiometer may be to adj the brightness of the lamp below the diaphram in the servo section and therefore the sensitivity of the servo. 2) The pick up arm with soldered wires was a modified type over
