The DAB+ module will be available in Australia by the end of the month and can be retro-fitted. I have been told the cost is in the vicinity of $500 for the module and about an hours work to install it.

I experienced the same problem with my BS3. It was returned to the dealer and the top plate with the buttons was replaced. It works fine now.

My BL3s are well and truly run in. I've had them since they were first released. I use them with a BeoCenter2. When first installed they buzzed. This was sorted out by the installers by moving the cabling in the wall cavity to avoid electrical interference. They are the correct cables. I think the BL3s are good with jazz and even chamber music.

I was so disappointed with my BeoLab 3s that I went and bought a good hi-fi system. It consists of Musical Fidelity 3.5 CD Player and matching Amplifier with B&W 805s speakers. The depth of sound and the soundstaging leaves the BL3s for dead. Although I auditioned the BL3s, I was swayed in their favour by brand loyalty. In this case, a mistake.

In the May 2007 issue of "What Hi-Fi?" the BeoLab9s are given 5 stars, the maximum possible rating. I'll quote the summary: For: A totally convincing and involving sound, combined with striking looks; compact, but sound much bigger. Against: Need dedicated leads to connect then to preamps; you can buy a lot of amp and spaekers for GBP5000
