    Dkatz, I can agree about your laptop. I have just came back from Berlin, Germany and was surprised about their demand for quality. Almost every car was German. They really don't stand for poor quality, and as you say Fujitsu Siemens are produced there, Nokia of Finland, Loewe and Technisat of Germany. I doubt very much if their own products were

    Looks like I need to catch up a bit with this thread! I agree totally with Dkatz, manufacturers are constantly perusing a profit over quality. I liked the Dyson example, still the same price as they were made here, obviously making much more of a mark up. I don't agree that China has skilled workers, there is no skill in assembling a product such

    I have to agree with Dkatz, you are spot on. I don't know what you studied, but you probably studied something similar to me, industrial design. I couldn't have said it better myself Perhaps there is nothing wrong with the skill of the Chinese workers, but there's a point all of you have forgotten. Would you for example be assembling top
