I changed all the caps for copper wire now, used some left over wire. I halfway assembled it again and tested...ofc. I only got left channel sound resoldered everything and tested with a cd with Erykah Badu and it all worked I can hear a huge difrence on the base its way more precise on my beolab 6000. Considering I have not yet changed the opamp this

Hi there. I have located all the caps to be taken out now on my pcb 2 board, the opamp however seem abit harder to locate as they are not marked. Howevere I got 6 opamplike ic's on the back on the pcb from where all the caps sit. They are named: 353 st9401 and 4-558c st9405, are those the ones I shold change?

I have gotten the units now and did a listening I find the onboard cd and casette deck quite good sounding, but the other day I tried the Aux with some digital sound omg. that sounded as it needed some sorting. will this modification help on the aux source aswell or?

Thanks for clearing that out:-) Before I go ahead and order OPA2134UA is this the one you recommend or are there other opamps to consider that are even bether?

Ah, nice thanks for quick reply:-) I am having a 2500 unit on the way to me in the mail with two beolab 6000, if I dont like the sound in it I am gonna try this modification/upgrade, this upgrade seem abit strange tho concerning removing the caps for copper wire, do you know why this improves it?

Hello to all, after getting alot of help reading the forum anonymeous, I just joined this site to be able to post. The other day I found this link http://w1.1983.telia.com/~u198300398/bc.htm and am wondering if anyone have done this modification? I cant seem to find anything on this forum about changing the opamp and removing alot of caps on this unit
