Great, thanks for that. It would be good to know what game mode actually does and if its ok to leave it enabled all the time, or just when playing a games console. I noticed that 'game' is within the list options on the BEO4, does this enable/disable the mode?

Thanks Neil, I appreciate your response and understanding. It sounds like Film Mode is the culprit then, I will disable this the next time I'm over and hopefully this will solve the problem. Thanks Magnus, im sure this will be it! Do you know the difference between film and game mode. Im guessing game mode reduces input lag? Also there isnt a 'go' button on this BEO4, is it simply the select button in the centre of the arrows

Wow, well isn't this a friendly reply. Have you considered that the unit in the showroom was setup correctly and the one delivered was set to factory defaults? Or even the fact that the salesperson doesn't even know what motion interpolation is or recognise it as an issue when it visibly destroys the aesthetic of films when that feature is active

Well it seems strange that 'specialists' dont know about recognised issues with modern video processing techniques when so many reviewers and customers do.
