Wow Leslie, what enthusiasm! I want to give back for all the useful help and advice. Thank you everyone!

For owners of Beocord 6000, 6002, 8000, 8004, and 9000 cassette decks, I have created a how-to video which will guide you through the steps necessary to replace the belts. The video is posted here, http://youtu.be/xI7gM5OpsE4 and your comments are welcome.

My complete Beosystem 8000 is due for major service, I just been feeling like a kid on Christmas Day since I opened the boxes, which for the most part had been in storage since 1988. Of course I tell everyone that I need to discover exactly what the problems are so I can pass this vital information on to the service people. When I made the initial azimuth

For the most part, if I can reuse the old tapes this isn't an issue, except for one thing, the azimuth aligning tape appears to be completely blank, at least I'm not seeing anything

All kinds of people use eBay so how do you protect yourself against fraud? I saw a listing where the seller said he records all serial numbers; apparently he was ripped off once. For example, suppose you list a phono cartridge like a perfect MMC-1. The buyer might have a defective cartridge on hand and once he receives the good one, ask for a refund
