The pre-set setttings are lost when the unit is un-plugged from the mains. They hold if left on standby. I replaced the internal 3 volt lithium battery which I assumed was providing power to the memory chip when power was disconnected and I thought that this had cured the problem but it seems to have returned. No apparent loose connections and the battery

I recently replaced the lithium battery in my 2300 as pre-set sound settings and radio stations were lost when it was dis-connected from the mains. This cured the problem but now it won't respond to the remote control unit correctly. Some functions work OK, eg Sat and TV will select and display on the units' display screen but CD and Radio do
