Graham - thanks for your reply. Would a slack drive belt cause the left side pinch roller to not rise when tape should play? Thanks Neal

Cassette unit does not play tapes. When I operate cassette player w/o tape, the head unit rises, but only the right drive wheel section rises along with the head. Left side drive wheel section remains lowered. Of course I hope to fix at home and avoid heavy repair costs. Greatly appreciate suggestions for self repair. Neal
