Thank you both for your help, I have managed to configure scart 1 as Sat. and the DVD player now works with that input. Further advice would be appreciated, the MUTE does not work, VOL UP/DOWN is ok any ideas? Thanks

Hello, My brother has just purhasesd a LX5500 from ebay to replace the same model that finaly gave up the ghost. It came with the rather nice heavy die-cast remote. However no matter what I do i cannot get the TV to accept an input on scart 1. Scart 2 works fine with the matching VHS recorder and from my investigation it looks as if pressing SHIFT
