• Re: Beocenter 7700 Overhaul

Awesome, that looks like my grandfather's workshop. I also have that same Product(RED) iPod. Good luck with your restoration. I actually ended up buying another BC7700, it's a white one but works so well with not much tinkering. All I need is new speakers, since one is not working and a new needle.

I'll add tape belts to the caps kit then. Thanks. I beleive my control panel door is due to a broken hinge as I can see a clear crack in it. I have yet to plug my beocenter to speakers but will do so this week.

My tonearm now lowers to the record and returns at the end of the record with no fault. I was in contact with Dillen who helped diagnose a few issues and non-issues. He told me it was most likely the oxidation on the contacts wearing off or loosened up grease after me trying the tonearm so many times. I was also able to put the tracking weight on point

Oh good, thanks for letting me know. I'll be sure to contact Martin. It really is a nifty machine, I can tell already how well designed it is.

  • Beocenter 7700 Overhaul

Hi all, I was able to come by a Beocenter 7700 locally. Excited though it definitely needs a tune up and a good cleaning. The unit turns on when plugged in. Some of the issues are the led readout showing in fragments and the tonearm only moving to the record without lowering down and then returning to its resting place. I've tried adjusting the

  • Re: Advice on System Setup

Thanks for clearing up the switchbox issue, one less thing. I actually came across the Graham Slee "Jazz Club" amp which is supposed to cover a wide range of curves. Of course that would be ideal, though I have found a few others which would be the Rek-O-Kut Re-equalizer and a basic (affordable) one with a switch between the most common LP

Ah I see. I've only started to collect 78s due to liking songs in certain movies from the 1930s. I understand the need for the preamp now, thanks. Will try to look for a right model.
I use CD Spin Doctor plugged into the tape socket to transfer vinyl to my Mac Mini. The hardware is an ADS Tech Model RDS-150-EF. The software and hardware was purchased as a complete package. also has Spdif input outputs,
Thanks for your detailed explanation. :) I'll also be sure to check the Mac forum when

I thought I might be over-complicating things. I cannot thank you enough. I was hoping for a beogram that could play 78s but did not think it would have the pitch control. And it makes me happy to know it would be pleasing to the eyes and cost much less, ha. In this way, it would sort of be a beginning and end setup of classic B&O. A few more questions

  • Advice on System Setup

Hi Everyone, For the past weeks, I have been soaking up all the wonderful information on here and Beocentral about Bang & Olufsen products. Particularly the audio range. I have recently acquired vintage 78, 33 1/3, 45 records that I would love to play and preserve by recording them later on by way of my computer. Please bear with the long post if
