Well just tried the second speaker and the same result. I have tired it with B & O cable and also with custom cables made by Kelly Smith here in the USA. He makes some very good cables but I wanted to make sure that wasn't the issue. I have a second set of 4000s I think I will try them and go from there.

Well Ok so much for simple solutions. If I use the Speaker 2 out of the 4000 the volume again goes to almost nothing. The minute I unplug the sub volume is restored. I tried going from Speaker 1 to the sub with the same results. Strange isn't it? It is almost as if the Speaker 2 output defeats the volume control.

Peter, Yes I had one set to left and the other right but with what you are telling me to come out of the 4000's to the sub takes care of the problem. Or at least it should. Thank you!

Gentlemen, I just hooked up my Beolab 4000's to my Beomaster 6500. At first I tried running one Powerlink Cable to the first Speaker and then out of Speaker 2 running a Beolink cable to the second speaker. I had almost no volume. I then hooked them up the normal way, one speaker to one powerlink and it works just fine. But it leaves me with a problem

Gentlemen, Do I need a special powerlink cable to go from a Beomaster 6500 to Beolabs 4000? Can I just buy what is being sold today at the B & O store? Does anybody have any recommendations on where I should buy or type of cable? As always thank you for your responses.

[quote user="Doctor"] I have compared all of these (Beolab Penta rather than Beovox). My favourite is the Penta. Works best when you are sitting down (the tweeter is then at the right level ) and has extended bass. If one was being critical, the sound is softer in the treble region, but they play loud and don't distort. The 8000 has better

Has anyone had time to listen to any combination of these and would like to compare them? I am a several hours away from a B & O store but am wanting to make a HT with B & O speakers. I have a non active pair of BeoVox Penta's hooked to a Beomaster 6500 in the bedroom and they are excellent. I am just wondering if the newer speakers are

Gentlemen, How do you use a sub woofer with a Beomaster 6500 and still run two sets of speakers? I am using passive speakers. S 120's for that matter. Also any idea's on what type of sub to use? I have a Vandersteen that I like but it might not be the best match. Thanks!

Gentlemen, I just bought a Beomaster 8000 without a remote. Are there any other remotes that can work with the 8000? Where can you find the codes if it is possible? Or would I use a Beo4 remote? Your knowledge would be appreciated.
