Thanks for your reaction, My Quad 44 pre amp has 4 pins DIN socket for 500 mV, a 5 V RCA and a 1.6 V RCA output. My best bet may be to use the 500 mV socket? Will try this tomorrow and let you know

Recently bought a Quad 44 pre amp (in good working order) and want to use this pre-amp with my Beolab 8000 active speakers(also in good working order). Speakers are over steered (?)by the Quad 44. How do I get these two working together properly? regards,
