  • Re: iPod into Ouverture

Iconic-AV isn't just a helpful chap he's a real gentleman. Thanks Jason. True to his offer he sent me a lead, and I have to report all is functioning as it should, exactly as you all had probably worked out it would. Thanks for the advice, and above all, thank you very much for the lead, Iconic-AV. What a nice forum...

  • Re: iPod into Ouverture

I can confirm thst it's the aux socket, and AUX is displayed on the panel. There isn't a powerlink socket, only a masterlink one which is of course impossible to confuse. I have also rewired the DIN plug to a mirror image as it has been suggested that pin numbers can mean different things to different people. Both versions are silent, both with

  • iPod into Ouverture

I thought this would be an easy one. But when I try getting sound out of my (otherwise OK) Ouverture from my iPod via jack to 5 pin DIN lead there's absolutely nothing. The jack is correctly wired, the DIN plug has ground on 2, signal on 3&5, and the volume on the iPod is wound all the way up with the volume limiter defeated. This is probably

  • beolab 6000 dead as a dodo...

..well, not quite dead, the red LED power light is working just fine. As for sound, not a hint, not even a click when I unplug it. These speakers are hanging off a 3500, and I have swapped them over to prove its not the 3500 at fault. Any ideas?

  • Re: Beo4 troubles with Ouverture and Avant

Thank you, that has done the trick. Your prompt and informative reply has saved the day, and I can now use my Ouverture with the Beo4. It only remains for me to replicate the remote with a £6.99 Lidl Universal that I have purchased this afternoon and tried out with the basic commands. Fabulous, thank you again.

  • Beo4 troubles with Ouverture and Avant

A few years ago I inherited an Avant, which together with an Ouverture with Beolab 2000 speakers, was controlled by a Beo4. All worked very well. I have now replaced the Avant, and separated the system. The old Avant is now in our other house, and works just fine with the Beo4. But I can no longer control the Ouverture and its speakerswith the Beo4
