Hi Menahem and thanks for the quick reply. I'll check out the capacitors...the burned out transistors happened a few years ago so are no longer an issue. What should the voltage across the solenoid terminals be? Mike

Hi,I bought this Beogram 6000 35 years ago and apart from a couple of burned out transistors I've had no problems.... until now ! The problem is, the solenoid which raises and lowers the tone arm seems to have lost it's power.... and YES all the linkage is free and adequately lubricated. On the workbench the solenoid seems to work just fine
