    Well, folks, I am grateful for your feedback. After seeking out a local TV engineer, he had a look at it and repaired it. Judging by the receipt, he had to change the following: 2*10microF CAP, 1*4700 CAP, 1*1000 CAP, 1*6.6microF CAP (hope it makes sense). Now it works! I am crossing my fingers that it will keep working for another 9 years. If not,

    Hi Peter! Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have contacted the local B&O in Edinburgh and they recommended the engineer from Perth. I am reluctant to pay the £95 call out fee before I have any idea if it is worth doing it. Has anyone ever come across this symptom before to advise if it is likely to be a major fault or something small

  • Beovision MX 4500

    Hi there! I have had the privilege of owning a Beovision MX 4500 for the past nine years without any problems. However, recently, the TV refuses to turn on. When I attempt to do it, it produces a 'click' and then turns itself off. I am not sure if this is a common problem, if it is an expensive problem or one that can be sorted out by a DIY'er
