Well it will not move with the cartridge removed so is it possible to go any further or do I need to send it in for service? Thanks

After further review the arm will move when playing a record but you have to continuously tap on the rear arm carriage. The small belt and pulley work flawlessly when moving the arm except wen a record is playing.

I took mine out of storage and before I tried it I did get some contact cleaner on the arm screw threads and the arm will not move when playing a record. I tried to move the threaded rod by hand while a record is playing and it will turn. I pushed down a couple of times on it and it turned for a few revs and stopped. I would like to know how to clean
