    Thanks for your input.... A CD Restorer looks like a portable CD player only it takes a thin layer at a time to remove scraches. The dry joints I refer to with WD40 are solder joints I did not know there was a kit to puchase and I am in work now as a website designer so don't mind paying. Where are the kits for sale?     I know there is a thread for this but I have a loose wire too... not that I am barking mad. About half my CD's wont play now and when I connect this loose connection to the obvious point (ie where it is pointing) then none of the CD's will play. So I am not sure whether it should be connected to anywhere. This request has been posted for some

    Thanks Graham for the info... I am quite busy now but will get intouch with the experts and get my CD's back up and running. I will put a blog together with all this info with pictures and diagrams for others to follow in the future.

    I posted a request for help with my loose connection on my Beocenter 9000 CD... If anyone could take a look at the photo on the Blog below and tell me where the other end of the connection should go then please help. It seems strange that you can post a video but not a pickture on the Forum, I will attemp to put a video of the fault next time I sign
