The 5000 compared to the 5500 is primitive, particularly with respect to the new MCP and the complete readout on the MCP of FM station, and other parameters. Thanks for the quick reply. I just just found my complete set of manuals. I have a complete Beosystem 5500 (receiver, tape, CD, and turntable), as well as a Beomaster 5000 and CD-50.

I misplaced my manual for the MCP 5000. How do I tune and store FM stations into the presets. I haven't done it in 25 years! Thanks all!

I located the manual and ran the diagnostics in Service Mode. I get a continuous 4 flashing. I followed the post you suggested. Does this error relate to the bad capacitor everyone keeps talking about? Sol

Do you know where I can get a schematic and board layout diagram?

My CD5500 was working fine, and as I was stepping through tracks, it stopped responding. When I insert a CD it spins up and stays on track 1, and then stops spinning. Help!
