    I recently acquired a Beogram with a MMC 20 EN needle. The issue is that when I try to play a record with it, the plastic part of the cartridge rides on the record along with the needle.     That was a simple fix - it appears I had the counterwieight set at O, O and there was not enough pressure for the needle to catch the grooves of the record. I now have it set at 2, 2 and things are working fine. I don't know if this is the best wieght set-up for sound, but the needle is playing through the record and then lifting at the record's

    O.K., thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I made some progress but now have a different problem. I read the related posts (thanks Cleve) and learned quite a bit. I was able to open the unit up and find that the notorious brass pin was totally stuck. I cleaned the pin and applied some lubricant. The result is that the tonearm now has up and
