I have now got my beogram hooked up and sounding beautiful! The cartrige was the problem, I reattatched it and its now working. This is the first time i've bought vintage equiptment and i will certainly be doing so again in the future I'd like to thank everyone who has given me hints and tips and really helped while ive been getting this sorted

I know im going to sound a bit silly but how do i check the cartridge? Is it inside the tuntable and what does it do?

My beogram 1500 is still not working. Ive tried hundreds of different ways of connecting it to my amp and to my hi fi and stillcant hear anything but a humming noise. I really want to get it working. Does anyone have any ideas what possibly could be causing this, typical faults in the turntable? Does anyone have any ideas as to how i might fix it? Also

I got a 4 phono connection lead but still no success. I'm not sure how to connect a wire from the chassis of the beogram- what is that? and I dont think my amp has an earthing screw. can you explain how to do this? Thanks, Dano

Hello, I have bought a beogram 1500 which appears to be working, going round, needle ok on record but I am having real difficulty connecting it to my amp or hi-fi which both work with my other record player. I have tried several connections between the 5din pin beogram cable and the phono inputs on my amp/hi fi but still no sound apart from a loud buzzing
