    On second look, I have a MMC4 not a MMC1, and I saw the weight is supposed to be 1.2gr. It was set at it's highest when I recieved it at 1.8, but I doubt that was the problem. I adjusted the slide you mentioned (thanks again) and it does still sound like static crap, and the stylus just skates along the album to the last track within five seconds

    Can anyone help me with this model? I just ended up with my brother's and it looks to be in very good shape but I think it was moved around without being in transport lockdown. I tried playing an album today real skippy & scratchy..and it seems to me the stylus weight is too light. I can't find an adjustment for that. I do see two plastic
