I think it shuts down because of the power supply overload signal from the deflection board or the feedback signals to the TDA9162 on the decoder board. Have you seen the text strings in the beosystem software eprom?

I was thinking along this line: take a Beovision Avant or Beovision 3, get rid of the deflection coil and the rest of the high power stuff, replace the tube with a plasma or LCD, fit some glue logic inside and breathe new life to that old Beovision. What do you think? I'll give it a go.

Hello! I installed a BV3_32 and AVANT DVB-S kit in a Beosystem 2 mk iii type 9422 sw 16.2 and the good news is that it works. The bad news is that the board will not fit properly in the chasis. The really bad news is that I broke the CAM module PCB in the process. So I'm looking for a replacement board A6143104 ver G-1. Thanks for your help! Regards
