  • Re: The upgrade of my avant 28" to 50" plasma integrated a mediabox and blu ray player.

I think it shuts down because of the power supply overload signal from the deflection board or the feedback signals to the TDA9162 on the decoder board. Have you seen the text strings in the beosystem software eprom?

The idea is to use as much as possible from the original Avant (or BV3) chasis. From some experiments with beosystem 2 (mk 1,2 and 3) I know that the software is clever enough to figure out what's connected and behave accordingly. The beosystem 2 (and Beovision 5) are very very very similar to the Avant DVD RF. I assume that if you remove the deflection

Hello! Reviving an old thread... I was thinking along this line: take a Beovision Avant or Beovision 3, get rid of the deflection coil and the rest of the high power stuff, replace the tube with a plasma or LCD, fit some glue logic inside and breathe new life to that old Beovision. What do you think? I'll give it a go.

  • BV3_32 AVAND DVB-S kit installed in a Beosystem 2

Hello! I installed a BV3_32 and AVANT DVB-S kit in a Beosystem 2 mk iii type 9422 sw 16.2 and the good news is that it works. The bad news is that the board will not fit properly in the chasis. The really bad news is that I broke the CAM module PCB in the process. So I'm looking for a replacement board A6143104 ver G-1. Thanks for your help! Regards

Hello! Today I received the DVB-S kit I got on ebay (Sattelite Kit Avant BV3_32 DVB-S 1403200) and I installed it in my Beosystem 2 mk3 type 9422 sw 16.2 The DVB-S works fine. However, the board does not fit properly in the chasis. See my other post about the DVB-S kit Thanks Andrei

  • How to fix the LC2 sensi-touch field

Hello! I have LC2 that doesn't respond to the touch function and I decided to fix it. First I tested the sensi-touch field by touching the PCB pad where the small rubber tube fits. It was working. I checked the faulty dome on another (working LC2) and it was not working. There were 2 issues: 1. The rubber tube that connects the PCB to the dome was

Hello! Where can I find the LC2 service manual with a schematic diagram? Is there a list of service manuals available on BeoWolrd? Thanks.

  • Re: Self learning DVD controller

Thanks! As I got most of my B&O equipment on ebay, IR relay for BeoMedia is a must as I only have one IR Eye (for the moment). The good bit about converting the STB-C codes is that you can pick any box on the list that looks right for your eyes when you press Menu on BEO4 The IR Relay is hardware: it uses a spare optocoupler on the board (I want

  • Re: Self learning DVD controller

Hello! I decode long left/right/up/down stop/go and green/yellow/red/blue codes. BTW, the long go is the same as long stop You're right, there's no need to relay IR to BeoPort. But I might need to relay to BeoMedia 1 (it's on the way from London now, so I don't know yet). I decode the following commands: Digit 0 Digit 1 Digit 2 Digit
