Back to the matter at hand- The drive wheel (on which the platter rests) is scraping on the frame, or, chassis. My feelings are that it's the bearing, but, is that a non-servicable item? i have another sub assembly, but, if this the problem can just the bearing carrier be replaced, or, rebushed. Thank you again, Dan FIXED IT!!! THE FIX-I USED GREAT

Appreciate rapid response, but, also have a 1602, and, yes, the label did scrape when I got it. Scraping is with or without record installed. It is evidenced by rub mark on base top, under platter "drive wheel". Thanks, Dan

Hello, perhaps there is someone who has an answer, I have yet to find this question online. Have a Beogram 2402 with a scraping noise when platter rotates. Also have a parts piece that found for a fair price (presumed they might come in handy). The spare turntable does rotate-motor works, tested platter on spare-no scrapes (platter not bent). I surmise
