csmager: If I change my speakers to line mode with nothing connected, they hum and never shut down. I would suspect it's this. Sounds exactly the same. Are there any products which can reduce the mains hum i.e chokes or some power supply filter? I have some cylindrical chokes I might slip over the mains lead just to try out. Scott

Well, got my BL8000s installed yesterday and all my other B&O stuff mounted properly. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! All connected to my Onkyo TX-SR875 with 8000's as front L/R channel and BL4's as rear L/R. My issue is this...At bedtime I turned my Sky HD off then turned off the Onkyo. Pottered about a bit for and went back into living room. 8000's

As a bit of background info, my current setup is as follows:- Onkyo TX-SR875 AV Receiver to which is connected Beosound 4 BL4 (rear surround) BL8000 (front) Having spoken to Steve at SoundsHeavenly I am awaiting his efforts on a solution to use the BL 7-2 as a centre channel and will be opting for this if he is sucessful

WOW, thanks Steve, thats answered a lot of my questions and a few others that were floating around my head I have since purchased the Onkyo TX-SR875 and it seems to be an excellent unit!!. I have my local B&O coming round in a week to deliver my BL8000's and to mount my BS4 and BL4's on the wall and connect all the gubbins together. Cant

KingOfSnake: Might be contentious but Beolab 4000 are a much better match for 8000's as a centre speaker than using a 7-2, which ideally should be paired with 3's, 5's and 9's. So I assume you mean 1 BL4000 as a centre speaker and not 2? Scott

L ooking at that reminds me of the benefits of Powerlink sockets!! That will however be fine. And yes, they do make RCA to Powerlink cables. Call me thick but the only powerlink-RCA cable I can find terminates to 2 RCA's.. The rear of the Onkyo has single outputs to each channel i.e FR/FR/RR/RL/sub etc. Therefore I can only use 1 of the RCA connections
