My BeoSound 2 has given me more than four years of faithful and intensive service but the battery may be on its last legs. Down to just one to two hours per full charge (using either the docking station or travel charger). I'm told that high-bitrate files or high volumes affect battery life, and my player in its prime never came close to the eight
