    It worked! I feel so foolish. Thank you. The speakers are McIntosh XL1s, small two-ways with great sound quality. Can anyone recommend a subwoofer for this setup?   • Beosystem 5500 problems

    I have inherited a Beosystem 5500 with the Beogram CD 50. The system was functional at the time of its original owner's passing. I took the system down, boxed it and put it in a moving van to another state. Now that I'm setting it up in my home, the CD player plays with an horrific distortion, and the turntable makes a 'no source' message
