• Re: Can I use vodka?
Just tried a small drip on my tongue - no residue (and evaporated too quickly for my liking). Sounds like I'll keep practicing!
LOL /riis

  • Re: Can I use vodka?
Just tried a small drip on my piephone screen - left a definite residue (and doesn't evaporate as quickly as you'd like). Sounds like a hifi myth to me!
OK I'll drink the vodka. What would you use for cleaning? /riis

  • Speaker grille fabric for Beovox CX 100

Is speaker grille fabric available at B&O? I can see that the fabric on the CX 100 is very similar to the fabric on my MX 7000 and probably other Beovisions, so it can't be that rare. Other ideas for a replacement? /riis

  • Re: How to remove scratches on Beocenter 9300 lid
Not possible I'm afraid. The lids are anodised aluminium & any attempt to remove the scratches will make the appearance 100 times worse & make you wish you had never started. The only solution is to order a new one from B&O or learn to live with it. Chris.
I've been told that you have to

  • Can I use vodka?

Can I use vodka to clean the laser lens on my CD 3300. I'm asking because I've read on a Danish Hi-fi site that vodka is the only thing to use. Not methylated spirits, not isopropyl but vodka! Has anybody got some experience with vodka - for cleaning.......... Maybe our Finnish friends (he-he) /riis

  • How to remove scratches on Beocenter 9300 lid

The lid of the tape deck on my BC 9300 has got a few scratches. Not very much, but it would be nice if there was a way to remove them. What material are the lids made of? Do you think it is possible to make them go away by polishing? You can feel the scratches when you run a finger nail across them. Or should I try to find a donor lid? /riis

Does anybody know if the colours of the CX series (black, white and grey) match colours from the international RAL colour code? /riis
