  • Beolab 5000 vs 3000

Hi All! I have a pair of Beolab 3000 connected to my Beovision AV 9000 and I am amazed how well they sound!! The natural, smooth sound, with lots of depth (probably thanks to the wall mount) and most of all I like the "sound picture"…how they define every instrument when playing music or every detail in a movie.. I have Beolab 8000

  • Re: IR emitter on a Motorola VIP-1920 STB

Keith, Setting things up like this really requires some technical skills and I would never have figured this out without support! :-) One final question related to this: Initially I was hoping to use the "DTV" button on the BEO 4 for the Motorola (now I have assigned V.AUX, but also DVD2 or V.MEM works fine too). How come I cannot assign the

I got a message back from Lintronic after testing my remote…It turns out the remote that comes with this Motorola unit is usually a 36kHz, but the one I got was 56 kHz. So, when changing PAR6 in the downloaded commands from 001 to 000, it actually works now, finally! :-) /Peter

  • Re: Trying to understand the OPT funtions on a BEO4

Hi Beobuddy, No, it has never worked in this setup for me to get any sound when pressing CD or Radio on the BC2300. Actually, its not really a big deal either since I usually use the BEO4 to control it all anyway, I was just curious why it didnt work since I though the single powerlink cable I have would be enough to handle the communication both ways

Hi Stefan, Ok, so one more powerlink cable might do the trick..I will look into that… Thanks for the tip! /Peter

  • Re: IR emitter on a Motorola VIP-1920 STB

Hi Keith, That is actually what I did and the code wasn't longer than this. I sent it to Lintronic as well and he was as surprised too.. I have sent the remote to him, to see were it fails in the decoding, so I guess we have an answer in a few days... Thanks so far for your help, Keith! /Peter

  • Re: Trying to understand the OPT funtions on a BEO4

HI Stefan, Yes, that seems logical. I have a powerlink (or is it called the Masterlink?) cable (with the rectangular connectors) from the BV3-32 to the Beolink converter. On the other side of the converter, I have a splitter ( with the round powerlink connectors) where one goes to the BC2300 and the other to the Beogram. I have tried without the splitter

  • Re: IR emitter on a Motorola VIP-1920 STB

Hi Keith, Ok, When you say "the full string", how do I get that?..this is all that was shown when I pressed enter. By "full string" , do you mean there is a command to get all of the functions presented in one string? Actually, I have sent the remote now to Lintronic to have them look at it. Maybe this version of the VIP 1920 is

  • Re: IR emitter on a Motorola VIP-1920 STB

    Ok Keith, Now i am getting something here, the remote is identified as: 762 Manchester -32 Pulse, Pause in micro-seconds 00387 ( 29 ) 00808 ( 61 ) = 1195 ( 90 ) 00129 ( 9 ) 01947 ( 147 ) = 2076 ( 156 ) 00177 ( 13 ) 00600 ( 45 ) = 777 ( 58 ) 00302 ( 23 ) 65000 ( 4941 ) = 65302 ( 4964 ) this comes up when I press "Ok" does it make sense? /Peter
