Thanks for the updates. I called my local dealer to check and they weren't sure but offered a few suggestions (PIN code, dismissed at not the problem as it can be used ok, and timer settings). I checked the timers and re-confirmed one of my AV connection configs and the blinking LED has gone. I'll call them tomorrow to see if they can get technical

Has anyone ever experienced a blinking red LED on the IR Receiver after setting the BS3 to standby? The BS3 is connected to two AV sources via SCART, screen via DVI, DVB-T module installed, BL9's, BL7-4 and BL6000's with a ML to a BS3200and BL3500. It's on SW 2.60a and appears to be functioning properly with no adverse affects. Thanks in

I can't see the reason that B&O wouldn't sell the BV4-50 separately, I remember last year's price list detailed them as separates with a footnote that a BeoSystem was needed, maybe this is to save confusion. I suspect you can buy what you need, I've done the opposite, starting with a BeoSystem 3 and are looking to buy the screen

Come on Peter - cheesed off with B&O - please elaborate! (dealer or product issues?) What does kikinoko actually stand for, if anything...

I had a similar issue with a BT dect phone and kept hearing Virgin and assumed the callers were listening to background music. I bought a Beocom 2 hoping this would solve the problem (any excuse I hear you say) and the problem persisted, how disappointed was I? Got the B&O bug and bought a Beocom 6000 and 1401 and when installing microfilters in

Mine is as simple as it gets: 1) Clock 2) Format 3) Speaker 4) AV The first is the most used - will the Beo5 have a clock on the display? and the Format is only used as most of the motorsport programmes on ITV4 insist on swapping format between the adverts - most annoying.

Thanks for the update Keith. I'll probably wait until I upgrade my screen and see if I can get the upgrade rolled in.

You are lucky, DTS is a rare find on most DVDs in the UK and sometimes I find myself drawn to discs displaying the DTS logo. I guess the sound format is decided by the BC2? My Panasonic player is the same, it favours DD over DTS and you have to select it manually. I bet your BL5s sound better with DTS!

I believe so, you can only control set top boxes with the Beosystem 3.

Thanks for starting this thread Peter and the latest update, Keith. Is there anywhere on the site which shows the versions and what has changed between versions? I guess this is an engineer update, any experience of how much dealers charge for upgrades?
