I been following this thread with a great deal of interest. When I first read about the Encore I was stoked and thought this is closer to what the BS5 should have originally been. When the BS5 was first released the main thing that stopped me buying it was the limited storage of 500gb which didn't appear to be upgradable and the fact the music was

We replaced the 8000's in our bedroom with a pair of 5000's. Very pleased with the sound and my wife commented that they weren't as 'strident' as the 8000's. The 5000's sound more mellow and rounded. They put out a fair bit of sound for a bedroom but they are big. Before I got around to mounting them I had them leaning against

Hi Matthew, I actually have the powerlink cable coming out from under the powerpoint (ie. down the wall cavity and using the hole of the powerpoint). That way I have the powerlink cable come out and then into the rubber profile (as B&O call it) together with the power cable. It looks like one then without cutting cables etc. Send me a PM with your

Hope this works. Best I can do with the phone.

Just had a look how I ran my cables on one of mine. The cables actually come out above the bracket. From memory I drilled the hole in the plaster with a spade bit and then ran the cables. The Masterlink cable was run from the bedroom side and pulled up into the roof space. The power cord was dropped down into the wall cavity and into the bedroom. The

Hi Matt, I used Ramset plasterboard hollow wall anchors (4 in a pack). They are for material 8-16mm and hold up to 10kg each. Got them from Bunnings. I've also used them to mount a pair of BL5000's and they worked like a treat. As long as you are not going to be swinging off your BL3500 they should be fine. I assume you have normal plasterboard

Hi Matthew, I have 2 BL3500's both which were mounted differently. One has been mounted screwed into a stud while the other was mounted using dynabolts. I must say the dynabolt method was easier as I didn't have to try and get the wires around the stud but you have a luxury of having no plaster so that makes it a lot easier. My advice is before

If the BS5 gets a CD player built in I will be very happy. One of the main things that annoys me about the current model is that I have to connect it to a computer. I would prefer to directly load onto it. Also the capacity should be nothing less that 2 tb and easily upgradeable at a later stage And it needs to integrate seemlessly with Beolink. The

Hi Jon I have found that the docking station can be a little touchy. My BS2 sometimes isn't recognised and I have to move the actual unit around on the dock. Also, the cord is a little loose so I just have to move it around a bit sometimes. Peter

The Beo5 is the only B&O item that if I had my time again I would not have bought. If you are happy with the way the Beo4 works I would stick with it. Whilst it may not have the programming ability of the Beo5 it requires relatively fewer button presses (in most cases) to get the function that you want. I have 5 zones loaded but to be honest I only
