  • Re: The Beosystem 3 Owners Thread

Thanks Frank - never thought of checking out the other Forums. I'd probably make that change if I didn't have the on-board DVB-T, I use it occasionally when I want to switch on the TV quickly and avoid the wait for the PVR to get the signal and boot up. You'd hope the same was possible for the TV button - I need to speak to my dealer soon

Hi Frank, I haven't found a way of overriding the TV button for alternative use, I have the same problem and I also have a DVB-T module fitted which takes the DTV button too. My STB is accessed via V.MEM and DVD-Recorder via DVD, to be honest I never use the onboard analogue tuner and would like to move them up one space to get something like this

Hi Frank, Congratulations on your BeoSystem 3 purchase. Sorry I can't be of any help on your post, I use a Panasonic panel and it is happily controlled via the serial output. I had a quick look at my screen options and for non B&O Monitors, only generic is listed. Where do you see the Sony screen listed and I'm not sure I completely understand

  • Re: New Kit arriving tomorrow

Enjoy your new kit - a sound start. Interestingly I had a flyer through the post today from my local dealer offering a free BeoSound 3 with the setup you've just bought. Not sure if it's just a local offer, but it maybe worthwhile seeing if it applies to you. My foray into B&O started with a pair of A8s, the stuff is compulsive.

  • Re: BeoCom 1401 base, Help me :(

Ah, I see. Sorry to question your post - I have never seen a BeoTalk 1400 before. If it was still available I may have bought one instead of a BeoCom 1401 & BeoTalk 1200. Happy fiddling, and I hope you end up with the solution some time soon.

  • Re: BeoCom 1401 base, Help me :(

I have a BeoCom 1401 and didn't know there was a battery in the base unit. My handset connects straight back to the phone socket and doesn't seem to have a need for battery power, the base just supports the handset and holds some post it notes. Are you sure it's a 1401 - does it look like this http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid

  • Re: do I need a BeoLab 2 ???

Hi Massimo, I have a similar setup (BL9 + 7-4 + BL6000) and was convinced I needed a BL2 based upon a demo at the dealers, but when I setup at home I didn't think it was necessary. As Karsten says, arrange a test at home if you can, before you decide. Max.

  • Re: 7 pin DIN to Phono lead

As an alternative, try http://www.flashbacksales.co.uk/acatalog/5_Pin_DIN___Phono_Cables.html . I used a 5 pin to 4 RCA cable with my BS3200 and it seemed a little bit more robust than others I found.
