Will do the grounding later, here in France all the wall outlets are grounded when in a new construction, and with each renovation of old appartments they are obligatory replacements. In fact, armed with my newly acquired intelligence, i remeasured the caps at the smallest scale (200), and the 514 measures still 00.3, and the big one is higher no matter which way i test it. So i desoldered the two red wires like you suggested (isolating the amplifier). Sebastian
