  • Re: Macworld Review Beolit 12: 4 out of five

I bought my eldest Daughter the B&W Zepellin and love the sound - do you really feel that it lacks the sound quality of the Beosound 8? I don't.

For the purposes of fairness and balance seek advice from Ian at morethanAV and Jason at Iconic AV amongst others. Personally if you have made up your mind with the Plasma go for an AV amplifier with pre-outs and drive Beolab 3's and Beolab2 with a 7-1, 7-2, 7-6 or 7-4 (PREFERRED) as your centre channel.

If I recall correctly you can swap out the pcb to allow it to work with the wireless 1 units.

Moxxey, wtf is wrong with you? There is nothing better than a good unboxing photo set. Who wants to see a lovely kitchen, I much prefer cardboard boxes and polystyrene. From my perspective the BS8 is limited sonically. I would go so far as to say the B&W Zepellin offers better sound performance. More bang for buck. The following are not accurate

wait then. wait for 3 or 4 hours with the tv plugged in and left on. then enter your fathers pin code. You'll have to ask him for the code, nobody can get it other than your father. good luck.

Now this looks like an interesting debate - some of the theme of which carries on from the Unboxing Beolab 5 topic - about 'negativity' not being welcomed on the forum etc. I'll go further, I really think the age of the portable radio is dead, and as for Moxxeys price point of £299 I think you are are least £200 short!!! I am

  • Re: Unpacking Beolab 5

One last post in an effort to bring this matter to an end. Perhaps there was some confusion because you wanted to know if there was a special way to open a cardboard box - I could perfectly understand it, as I posted, if you wanted to know how best to handle/move/configure and had never done this before. Although I have lifted Beolab 5 before on myself

  • Re: Used Beolab 5's

    1. Early ones were pre-pin and pretty sure a sw upgrade was required to use a sync cable, am sure I will be corrected if I am wrong. 2. No 3. Value for money, after-sales support and warranty 4. Not that I am aware of Free-for-all advice (my favourite) - if viewing take off and rings or watches and run your hands all over the rims to feel for any indentations

Nice post Neil - but having a go at members of Beoworld? Surely the supplying Dealer would have advised of any special way open a cardboard box if they weren't there to open the box themselves for the customer, or in the alternative instructions would have been on the box. One thing is for sure, I would like to think that nobody has tried to turn
