Have switched the R/L speaker plugs just now. Still only sound in the left speaker. Headphones have sound in both channels. Can I assume anything else than that the right speaker is defective in some way?

Will check the headphones tomorrow I am the first to say that I shouldn't try testing anything with the back off and the power on, I am very well aware of my limitations in that field

I have a good feeling about this one! PDB, did you have a polish? You're looking shinier than ever! Good luck to all and have a great night

Thanks, Tony! I will definitely try and swap the speaker plugs. For some odd reason I didn't try that yesterday I will contact Nobby with any additional questions. Thanks to you too, Graham!

Got home from work and unscrewed the back of the MX4000. Locating the speaker plugs was easy enough. Indeed as you proposed, Graham, one plug wasn't entirely in its place. Unfortunately that didn't do it - turns out the speaker also has foam rot . Strangely, the right speaker was far worse than the left one and as the right speaker is still

I don't have any skills in this area so if it is something more complicated

The MX4000 has been moved from Copenhagen to Oslo and been stored since then and I am not certain if the right speaker worked before. Is this something that

Haribo, if I were you I would use a Beo4 and start looking for another Beolink 1000 if programming is needed. Weebyx has a point about the programming and two-way but the Beolink 5000 is just bad compared to the other two. It will continually loose contact, the range is not as good and it doesn't feel as good ergonomically. And IMHO two-way is not

I believe these are indeed original C75 woofers. I had a pair of C75's once - the bottom drivers had rubber surrounds whilst the top drivers similar to those of CX 50/100 had foam surrounds that needed replacement. I can't comment on the tweeters, though. Suppose that this type of speakers, like the BG 400x series was continued with cheaper
