Hi Jonathan, I'm not sure of the Beovision 7's ability to downscale, perhaps try setting the STB's to 720 to see if any picture is given at all. Regards, Cal

Hi Olivier, The blacks are very good indeed. One thing that has occured to me however is in regards to the 'Hotel version' Beo 4. To display the picture from the PC you will need to set up 'PC' on the Beo 4, unfortunately I do not know if it is possible to add 'PC' to the list of extra options on the Hotel version of the Beo

Hi the quality is actually very good, however the resolution is quite low compared to many more modern dedicated PV monitors. I have had an Xbox 360 plugged into mine on many occassions and the picture always looks sharp. Regards, Cal

Hi, the other thing to check is what resolution your attached device is pushing out... anything higher than 720 and it's unlikely to be supported. Regards, Cal

Hi, yes you can do this, as the signals are different. I do the same using a BeoVision 5 controlling a Virgin STB and an Apple TV. A simple Headphone splitter does the job. Cal

I was under the impression that you could use the Beovision 7/Beolab 2000 as a remote CD player without requiring an audio master? Cal

It's interesting, I've run my own masterlink cables around the entire house and without FAIL it's ALWAYS the left channel which I have to go back and re connect in the junction boxes, I have NO idea why but for me it's always that one. I'm glad your speaker is ok, I bet it looks great. Regards, Cal

Where the sheer amount of cables to hide in the wall was impossible I purchased some industrial 'pipe boxing' from these guys: http://www.contourply.co.uk/ which hid the cables along a run of wall (to the left of the BeoVision 5):
